My Story
Hello Everyone! Let me start by saying I am not a professional! I am just a women going on a journey, who wants to inspire other women who might be going through the same thing. My name is Alexandra Dickerson. Allie for short! I am 30 years old. I was married to the love of my life back in July 2008. It was around the time of our wedding that I was diagnosed with Poly-cystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS). PCOS is a hormonal decease that effects your metabolic and reproductive system.See info graph for more information. I have all of the common symptoms of this decease, irregular periods, the extra facial and body hair, weight gain, insulin resistance and infertility. I have not had a consistent period in years, the longest I have gone without a period is 4 years. The hardest part for me is the weight loss issues, I can loose the weight but will eventually gain it all back. I have even gone Vegetarian and Gluten,Dairy and Soy free. So far with that I have lost about 40+ pounds. Along w...
