Acupuncture- Does it work?

Image
My mom was talking to a co-worker some time before the holidays, they got to talking about my infertility issues, and PCOS. In their conversation the co-worker had mentioned that is wife is essentially a Chinese herbalist who does acupuncture. She said she has a really high success rate of getting women to ovulate. I did a little more research and asked around to some other women who have tried it. It was about 50/50, some of the women had success some did not. So New Years Day I had my first appointment. It was not as bad as I thought. I was really nervous about having needles on different areas of my body. It didn't even hurt at all and it was very relaxing and enjoyable. So for now I go every week on Saturdays untill I get a period. I've also started using herbal supplements and drinking herbal tea daily. The dr also gave me an herbal patch to wear for 3 days similar to a Thermcare Menstrual heat pad. Today (Saturday January 20th) will be my 4th appointment. I can't tell...

New Year New Me

Just like everyone else I wanted to start 2018 out right, so I planned on working out more, eating right and everything in between. so far 2 weeks into the new year and I've all ready lost motivation. That is one of the unfortunate things about Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome, one week I'm all gung ho about getting fit and healthy and the next week I have no motivation at all. I go back to eating things I shouldn't and not exercising like I should. I wish there was a way for me to keep the motivation going longer then a week or a few days. Latly I've been feeling unmotivated in a lot of different aspects of my life. I'm hoping this is just part of the winter blues🙁. If anyone knows of ways to stay motivated, please let me know!
