How we met ππππππ
This is the story of how my husband and I met and fell in love!
While in college I had decided to join a dating website, it was not your typical site like those on the commercials. It through our local country music radio station. I had signed up hoping to find someone but not really expecting to find anyone. I had never had a relationship or even dated in high school, mostly because of my weight, but at that time I had no clue that I had a disorder.
So this had all taken place in 2006. I was asked by a friend of mine to sign up to do an internship with her. We where set to leave for this internship in may of 2006, we would inturn at Walt Disney world in Florida for 3-7 months. We got the great news in February around that time I had a notification that I had a match on the dating website. I looked at his profile and decided to start up a conversation. We ended up hitting it off and would talk online for hours every day. We even excepted each other's friend request on myspace( ya it was that long ago). So come March of that year we had been talking for a while and exchanged phone numbers, we decided we wanted to meet each other he was going to school up here but was originally from southern IL. We met at a local movie theater where I knew 1/2 the staff. I also had 2 other friends with me just in case. We again hit it off and I invited him to meet my parents and go to a going away party for another friend of mine who was doing the internship with us. I had also gone to his area to go out to dinner.
Now it was time for me to leave, he hung out with me the night before we left and we talked and talked. We left for Florida and Mark and I still talked every night. I ended up only doing 3 months, so I would be going back home in August. In the mean time Mark ended up moving back home to southern IL. He talked about his house and the farm he lived on all the time. So October of 2006 We made arrangements for me to visit him in Edwardsville. I met his parents, and went to a baseball game. I had a great time. The next month he came to my hometown to visit. We did that for a few months untill about February of 2007. We had been talking about moving in together. So I moved 3 hours away from my family to Edwardsville. That April he perposed and we married in July of 2008. It all happened so fast, but I would not change it for anything. He is my best friend and an amazing support of everything I am going through with PCOS and other fertility issues.
We will celebrate our 9 year anniversary this July 😀💜
I hope you enjoyed my story. I thought I would do something a little different for this post. Please feel free to like a comment. Also I would love to hear from you guys about what else you want to know or you want me to write about.
Love 💜😙
